careful… it’s fragile…
First of all I need to thank Jade for helping set this shot up and made the whole day photographing so much fun.
This isn’t the sort of thing I usually shoot but hey it was such good fun, we took a couple of really cool shots so I’ll probably upload them over the next few days as it seems a waste just to leave them on my hard drive

So yesterday was my first upload on Flickr for…months.
Anyway I’m back, fully loaded with a brand new 50mm lens (YAY!) and I just can’t wait to take a mass of photos and share them with you all. I may think about restarting a 365 or 52 but for now I just want to enjoy taking photos while I have the time and let the creative juices flow, so to speak!
So in case anyone is interested in how I staged this shot here goes. I couldn’t afford the strobist equipment usually required to do this so I had to get thinking. I positioned a powerful lamp behind me (to the left) and on the other side had a mirror reflecting the light back onto the other side of my face.

On reflection I wish I had focused on the eyes but hey ho!
I actually had an additional lamp for lighting which was used so you can see the lips on the lighter otherwise it was just black.
I’m having one of those weeks where….”I JUST CAN’T WAIT TILL FRIDAY!”
